I have only recently come to know the artist known as Arteechoke; an illustrator, sculptor, designer & concept artist. I started following Ben’s work sometime back in November 2011 I believe, through the recommended #FF (Follow Friday) on the twitter social network.

His style of art is a cross between the traditional and the digital type medias. Ben uses his Bamboo tablet to create ALL of the art you will see featured here as well as ALL the art available on his official website.

What I admire most about Ben’s work is that everything is drawn from hand, through his tablet. Its something I have always wanted to do, but never did, until recently. I contacted Ben and inquired about how he goes about doing what he does. What type of tablet he used? What would he recommend to someone who was interested in starting illustrating? He was very eager to help and he assisted me every step of the way, from purchasing my first Bamboo tablet to giving me pointers on my first sketch.

Presently Arteechoke has a competition | giveaway over at his website. Its easy for anyone to win and doesn’t require you to do much.

You can win illustrations drawn from Arteechoke himself, mailed right to your door. Now how cool is that. Check out his official website and follow him on twitter now for more details.

That about wraps it up for this feature. Stay tuned next week as I do a feature on my buddy Keyon Jack. I hope you all enjoyed this feature, now go check out more of Arteechoke work.
