Broken Promises – Part II

Hello Everyone,

Before I post the second phase to ‘Broken Promises’ I just need to say thank you for all the feedback I got regarding the first part to this poem. I’m glad you all enjoyed it and I hope you like the second part every bit as much as the first. If you missed the first part to this, you can read it HERE.

The Diary of a Madman
Broken Promises – Part II
Written By: David Richard Williams in February 2004

Years went by,
I heard you grieved.
My pain you felt,
When Steve did leave.

It hurt you a lot,
When I wasn’t there.
It hurt even more,
When you called and I said I still cared.

But things were different now,
Between you and me.
I was now married,
And you were now free.

When you called,
I knew not what to do.
But I made a promise,
Just like you.

I promised to call,
I promised to write.
And I kept my promises,
Every day and every Night.
