Forever Running

(Originally Titled: Same Old Crew)

[Verse 1]
We were just kids behind high school walls,
Answering all of freedom’s calls.
I rolled into Benedict’s from form two
That’s where I met most of you.
[Verse 2]
There was Hamel, the one we called Tool,
Cracking jokes like a natural fool.
David, DW, had the good looks,
Always doodling in his notebooks.
Sheldon also called Mork,
Drove a gold Galant, what the fork!
[Chorus]
Forever running with the same old crew,
Forever running, me and all of you.
Tool and DW, Missionary and J,
Mork, Oz and Jit, We’re here to stay.
[Verse 3]
There was Jalil, we just called him Jit,
Doing his Bathroom Sports, bit by bit.
Jerome or J was always around,
Keeping our feet hooked to the ground.
Dion the missionary, I knew back from primary school,
The quietest brother, but always so cool.
[Verse 4]
Ozell, the man we call Oz,
Joined us through a lost cause.
He stayed true, while the other drifted,
Now he is the brother, the circle was gifted.
[Chorus]
Forever running with the same old crew,
Forever running, me and all of you.
Tool and DW, Missionary and J,
Mork, Oz and Jit, We’re here to stay.
[Bridge]
The calendar pages, have turned so fast
But the bond we made, was built to last.
Mid 40’s now, and were still the same,
Unbreakable links, in a lifelong chain.
[End Chorus]
Forever running with the same old crew,
Forever running, me and all of you.
Tool and DW, Missionary and J,
Mork, Oz and Jit,
We’re now legends of our younger days.
